Once you buy this it’s just the beginning you need to buy batteries that fit you need to buy a receiver and then a transmitter by the time you’re done it’s probably around $800 and good luck finding props for this the company that sells the plane doesn’t even have these props on their website they have a very confusing website so buyer bewareThere are many good war birds. The Zero the among the very best of the 1400mm I have flown. Very stable in flight. The only minor issue is it wants to nose over on takeoff if the grass is not short enough . Might give a it little shove with up elevator. As a tail dagger land it with a little speed as you flare in .First off this is a good flying plane. More expensive with a bit better finish quality but more assembly time required. When properly balanced, Mustangs are notorious for nosing in upon landing due to set back landing gear and long nose. Add a fragile overpriced prop and we have a problem. Slower than most 800 sized WWII scale planes I have flown I think because of the prop and smaller motor. I will stick with Dynam and Air Field planes for the money they are twice the value. I have paid $50 less for a plane that flies better and faster with cheaper parts. I will look for an alternative two blade prop size that will fit this plane. I hate paying $13 dollars every time I hit a dip or wet grass. Good luck fitting a recommended 1300ah pack in this little guy. It's a tight squeeze with an 800. I am tempted to try a 3 cell pack and see what this thing can handle.Have not flown this bird, am presently assembling it. Well put together, nice detail, and assembly seems straight forward (there are assembly vids on you tube). I like that the wing connects with two ribbon wire connections, making taking wing on and off for transportation much easier. I have observed this plane flying, friend owns one, and it flies great, which is consistent with all reviews.Plane is beautiful but to many issues with pnp planes. And I wish FMS would either put in a proprietary receiver, use spectrum or something to add to in every other instance a great plane. It is durable and most times easy to put together and in many instances takes a receiver and flies OK. BUT... The pnp definition is so wild across different platforms that you know what your getting and sometimes you don't. Also, innovate beyond a plane that snaps together. It's not that hard to run the wires during assembly so spend the extra 5 bucks and stick a damn receiver to them. Or at least give an option. I have a lot of rc planes from everywhere but I also have an ix12, 20, and the new nx10. I like to have one to rule all. As well as set it and forget it. I say 5 dollars and don't care if it's 30 at bulk price. Just give me the option and I will pay. There is simply no reason on my opinion to offer plug and play with many receivers costing way more than the 30 dollar discount to bind and fly. If you can't afford the 30 then don't buy a 3-600 dollar plane. If you have 3 plane and enjoy the hassle of switching recovers. Then you be you. But most folks. Ay not have the time and my free time is worth 30 dollars 10 fold. So the 2 star review comes from the fact that I put a brand new receiver in this plane as I have done all my pnp planes and somehow it came loose and wreaked havoc causing a short take off crash. I was shocked to say the least when that broke plane in half to reveal ZERO CARBON SPARS RUNNING FRONT TO BACK OR SPARS AT ALL. PLANE WAS ONLY 3 FEET OFF THE GROUND. Receiver was my fault and my rant. But the 400 dollar plane with no bnf avail along with not even 1 single reinforcing spar inside made this a 2 star. Sorry for Typos. In a hurry.I built this model and found that I was short one control horn. I used one from my spares to complete it. The plane flies great. Pay careful attention to the CG. I had to slide my battery all the way forward for best stability. The sequencing gear doors are a nice touch. What a deal for sure. I was a plane captain on these in the Marine Corp. I will have to change the decal to Marine - KB { Kaneohe} 285357Display, mainly.
