Lots of features: handles different battery types (including lithium), can handle up to three battery banks (1 completely independent of 2&3), prioritizes charging sequence (house or low battery first), several selectable/programmable charging cycles, selectable rate of charge (dependent on battery bank size), can be used as a long term storage "trickle" charger without overcharging (will 'exercise' battery with full charge each 7 days), can be used as a power source [through a battery bank] (will run 12V refrigerator while on shore power), and has a quiet mode (fan off) for nighttime use. Owners manual is long, repetitive and somewhat difficult to follow (descriptions separate from programming instructions). Once installed and programmed I really like the unit - very versatile - does everything I wanted. Why I knocked it down a star: The first one in my brand new boat lasted less than one year (made in China). Has a 1 year warranty, but I couldn't get to it in time. Hope this one lasts MUCH longer.
